Hello there, and welcome to Alvatrie. We are an African Wild Dog role play and we're just getting started. Here at Alvatrie, we promote good gramar, manners, and activity. Feel free to snoop around all you want, you are very welcome here. If you are a guest, and you would like to say something, feel free to use the c-box. We are all very friendly here, just follow the c-box rules (:
It is spring now, so it isn't nearly as hot as it will get. Wild Dogs can just laze about, for prey is plentiful, and spring puts all animals in a better mood. In some parts of the land, you can actually find flowers growing here and there. Pups are being born, and created. It's all around a beautiful sight.
Breeding: Always.
Birthing: Always.

Well, guys, I'm sad to say I'm going to have to close this site down. I just don't have the time for it, life is getting in my way. I really am very sorry. If there is someone who wants to take the site over, just e-mail me ( natasha_rose_lee@yahoo.com ) and I'll give you the password to the admin account. Once again, I am very sorry.

Wow, so I actually got the site finished much sooner than I thought I would. I'll start advertising a little tonight, but affiliate requests and stuff aren't gonna be up for a couple days. But anyway, join away! :D!

Finishing the site may take longer than I previously thought. I got sick, and I still am sick, and I haven't felt like doing much of anything lately. Hopefully I'll get better soon, and I'll finish up putting in the boards, put in a word count, and start advertising.

I'm still in the process of getting done with all the coding, and making the rp boards and such. The site should be finished in a few days.

The Groot Mountain is the biggest mountain around. Most animals never make it to the top. It is a desolate place, no grass grows anywhere. Just rocks. And the further you go up, the colder it gets. Some say that if you were to make it to the top, you would freeze.
This valley runs off the southern side of Groot Mountain. It is very deep, but surprisingly eary to get to. Because you don't have to over the mountain to get there, you just have to cross the river. And the river is pretty shallow most of the time. In the very middle of the valley, it very green, and gazelles like to stay here a lot. But around the edges the valley is gray and brown, just like everything else.
Surrounding the Diep Valley on all sides, save for the part where the mountain does, is the Bruin River. This river is known to become very dry in the summer, only having a few places to drink from. But in the fall and spring, the river has a good amount of water in it. They say it used have very powerful currents, but since all the droughts, the water is all but stagnant. It has a brown tint to it, but everyone still drinks it. It hasn't hurt anyone yet.
Verloor Plains. If you look at them from afar, they look like a lovely place. The grass is tall and green, swaying from side to side in the wind. It is on the eastern side of the Bruin River. Gazzelle's love to run and play here, but it is not a good place to go. It is very easy to get lost, and the lions sometimes have fun picking some confused lone dogs off.
This can or cannot be a good place to be. It is on the western side of the Bruin River, and is a starch comparison to the green plains. The transition goes over naturally, the grass getting thinner, a few rocks here and there. And before you know it, you're here. This place is located directly on a fault line. And when a tectonic shift occurs, you don't want to be here. Rocks from the mountain will come pouring down on your head and there really isn't anywhere to hide. But on a day when the plates are still, this is a nice place to come to sunbathe on all the fallen rocks. Sometimes the stench of death is too much to bare, though.
Located in the most eastern corner of the lands of Alvatrie is the Voël Glade. It is where the Sebra pack resides. This land is positively beautiful. Too beautiful, in fact. Some go crazy from its beauty. Green grass is everywhere, and zebra love it here. But the members of the pack never eat them. They are sacred, and never harmed. This glade is kind of small, and it is basically the whole packland.
The Hemel Tree is located in the very middle of the packlands. It is the heart of the pack. It is where everyone sleeps, meets, and where the pups are raised. On pretty nights, the members of the pack sleep outside, but on stormy nights, the pack moves underground. No one is quite sure how the tree grew on top of a cave, but it is very convenient. The entrance is well hidden, and no one besides pack members know where it is.
This pond is located not far from the Hemel Tree. It is the first place that pups are taken when they're old enough to leave to den. The water is green, but it doesn't have any algea in it. It is clean, and safe to drink, swim, and play in. The dogs of the pack love to come here and just hang out.
When you first enter the Olifant Packlands, you may not even know that you are there. The only thing that gives it away are the scent markers, and the three elephants that reside there. There is a truce between the elephants and the dogs. They keep each other safe and warn each other to danger. Pups are often brought here, and the pack likes to stay here. It is very beautiful. Short green grass covers the entire area, and the water of the river is more clear in that certain area than it was anywhere else.
The Olifant Densite is made up of fallen rocks. They fell in such a way that they kind of form a cave, and they are also stable. Inside, there is dead grass and leaves everywhere, serving as insulation and keeping everyone warm.
This is not a very . . . Pleasant place to be. Almost every stubborn elephant that tried to stay here through the drought is found here. Though, not living and breathing, it is obvious who these skeletons and rotting carcasses belong to. Pups are not allowed to come here, because it can be a very dangerous place. But when food supplies run low, adults will come here and salvage what edible meat there is.
You can talk about anything here, as long as it doesn't violate the rules. This is a place to play games, share stories, pictures, or even pm me about getting your own sub-board so people can ask you to make the signatures in an environment that you control completely.
